Published: 13/03/2009 by Barron Barnes
This is an instructional video about learning how to wakesurf. It is called "The Beginner's Guide to Wakesurfing". In this video, you will learn about equipment, how to weigh the boat down for wakesurfing, safety, how to wakesurf (how to get up, how to maintain speed and stay in the wake) and some basic tricks (floaters, slides, grabs, 360). The video is produced by WSDVD, LLC. The video was created for people who have seen people surfing behind a boat without a rope and want to know how they do it. It gives you step by step instruction on how to get started and will show you all the steps necessary to have fun wakesurfing and maybe learn to do a few tricks. Wakesurfing is a great family sport because there is less potential for injury for mature water sports enthus iasts (a.k.a. old folks who like to waterski/wakeboard) and it can be a relaxing day out on the lake. Wakesurfing also appeals to the younger folks who want to learn to do tricks on the waves and ride agressively up the face of the wakes, etc. Wakesurfing is emerging as one of the fastest growing water sports and people are getting addicted to "the feeling only a surfer knows". This video is designed to introduce you to the sport of Wakesurfing and to show you step by step what you need to know in order to safely get up on the wave and wakesurf.
